The Heward Global Fund applies our dividend growth discipline to a global universe. It invests in market-leading businesses — companies with defendable barriers to entry, strong free cash flow and high returns on invested capital — that return capital to shareholders through a growing dividend. Every holding must pay a dividend, and must show a clear expectation that the dividend will keep rising.

The result is a concentrated global portfolio, built on conviction rather than benchmark weights, with the discipline to sell when a company stops compounding its dividend.

How we build the portfolio

40 to 50 holdings Concentrated enough for conviction, diversified across at least 8 distinct industries.
Global by design 90% international exposure with Canadian equities capped at 10%. A portfolio built for the world.
Large-cap core A focus on companies above $10B, with up to 10% in mid-caps ($1B–$10B).
Risk discipline No single sector above 25%; resources (energy, materials, mining) capped at 10%.
Sell discipline Any dividend cut triggers a controlled exit. We sell any holding that fails to raise its dividend for three consecutive years.
